Activities so far:
- Housing and Town Planning Division under the Department of Public Works and Transport of Vientiane Capital is the implementation partner.
- Lao authority has decided to nominate Vientiane Capital City to participate the project. (July 2009)
- Vientiane Capital City's profile was submitted to the project. (August 2009)
- Road Map mission to plan the activities toward a Clean Air Plan was completed in November 2009.
- The project team presented a draft activities toward a Clean Air Plan (Road Map) to Vientiane Capital in April 2010.
- The Vientiane Public Works and Transport Department and German International Cooperation (GIZ) signed the agreement in Vientiane to implement the project on 1st March 2011. German ambassador to Laos Dr. Peter Wienand and GIZ Vientiane Office Ms. Arlett Laroy attended the ceremony.
